Green Zebras

We grow a wide variety of tomatoes, both to provide shoppers with a range of choices and to help spread the peak harvest over a longer period. One variety we have come to love for both of these reasons is Green Zebra. These tomatoes are favorites among chefs, specialty markets, and home growers as well as small scale growers like us. These tomatoes have several stand-out attributes. For us, it’s important that they reach their peak of production just after several of the other striped variety, so provide a perfect addition to the farm. They are also just plain attractive, with interspersed bright yellow and green stripes when ripe. Some will even blush slightly orange when ripe, adding to their rainbow of color! With such a different look than so many other tomatoes, you can really amp up the appearance of a dish by mixing together a green zebra tomato and a red variety. Finally, these tomatoes have a unique and full flavor, with a bit of a zippy bite!

Green zebras are at their peak right now, so it’s definitely the time to try these out these gems! Check out the full harvest list below and thank you, as always, for your support!

Loving these Green Zebras! At first I thought you were going to describe another creepy beetle!
Its interesting that they ripen at their own time so you can get different types all through the
growing season. Makes the plate w/tomato & mozzarella look ever so lovely! Thanks for
    growing all these cool items.
